The Yellow Sprockets are a band in the upcoming feature film 3 Mile Limit. I was lucky enough to see a job posting several months ago where the film was looking for a photographer to shoot some promotional material of the band, and they chose me. I was actually over the moon because the job description was a dream for me. I love 60s music, especially rock & roll. These guys were wonderful to shoot, spontaneous, creative, and full of ideas. 3 Mile Limit, the story of pirate radio, is currently shooting in New Zealand and I think is expected to be released in 2013.

20/365 I’ve started updating my 365 project again! Not all days are being posted here, see the full project on my flickr! This is who I’d like to be. Fearless. There’s so much we don’t do because of fear. There are parts of us that we love but are afraid to show in case they’re hated by others. There are things we want to do that might never get done for fear. We’re wasting so much time. Be unafraid.

This is a music video I made for a university project. I’m not very experienced at all in making videos so I’m amazed so many people pulled together to help make it! The song is Earthman by Poets & Pornstars, and I chose to work with it because its message is very striking and translates to film very well. The project is about not apologizing for being human, and the fundamental human qualities that link together even the most outwardly different of people.

I had almost decided not to put this anywhere that people would actually see it, like tumblr or youtube (it had to go on Vimeo in order to show the cast members), but after showing some people who were involved, I might be ready to consider the possibility that I have editor’s goggles, and can no longer judge if this is any good or not. I know that I am definitely happy with parts of it, and that’s not bad for a first proper video.
